THE 100TH YEARS ANNIVERSARY ON THE OCCASION OF BRANKO ĆOPIĆ BIRTH SEPTEMBER 23 TO 24. 2015.

The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Republic of Srpska makes a greatl attention to the marking of important anniversaries, specially the ones that preserve, cherish and upgrade culture and spiritual creativity.
Today, in the time of changes, when the work and literature contribution of Branko Ćopić to the literature at all in the countries of ex-Yugoslavia is under the pressure of forgetting, our obligations is to embalm him.
Having in mind that, the Academy of Sciences and Arts, within its Work Program for 2015, envisaged to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Branko Ćopić (1915-2015) – the man, intellectual and writer.
On that occasion the Academy is going to organize several significant events and on that way mark the life and work of this splendid person.
On September 23, the Academy organizes the Grand Festivity with the beginning at 6 p.m. at the Concert Hall of Banski dvor in Banja Luka. The same day at 8. p.m., in the Academy’s Gallery will be organized the exposition of the Branko Ćopić’s work. The public is going to see the photo documentation and archive documents of his oldest books, as well as some items from its birth house.
The next day, September 14, is planned for visiting Hašani, the birth place of Branko Ćopić, where the commemorate to this splendor of Serbian and Yugoslavian literature is going to be given. The representatives of Krupa na Uni Municipality are going to present the Project “ Bašta sljezove boje”.
Parallely, with all these activities, the book dedicated to the literary work of Branko Ćopić is under the preparation.
